MediCollector BEDSIDE

The MediCollector BEDSIDE product is for acquiring data from medical devices at the hospital bedside using a standard Windows computer or laptop. You can record data from GE and Philips Intellivue patient monitors, or from any of our supported medical devices. Your computer connects directly to the device using a cable, and data is recorded to the hard drive or streamed to 3rd party application. The data can be viewing in real-time, or after-the-fact, and can be exported for analysis in other applications like Excel or Matlab. In addition, you can add annotations to the data to mark important events.
One of the unique selling points of MediCollector BEDSIDE is its ability to connect directly to your medical device. Similar products on the market require that you connect your devices to the hospital network (LAN), and stream data to a server. These system are large, complex and expensive. They often require many months to install, and require getting assistance and "buy-in" from your hospital IT department. Not only are these system prohibitively (and unnecessarily!) expensive, but the institutional barriers and "political" headaches related to installing them are formidable. To get around these barriers, MediCollector BEDSIDE can be downloaded to your laptop and tested in a "plug-and-play" fashion, without ever touching your sensitive hospital network. [More Info...]

MediCollector SERVICE

The MediCollector SERVICE product provides much of the same functionality as the BEDSIDE version, but it allows you to run the program invisibly in the background. Because it runs as a service, it will launch and begin recording as soon as the computer starts up (no need to logon). This makes it ideal for embedding into 3rd party systems or for installing and running continuously with little or no user interaction.
The MediCollector SERVICE functions as Medical Device Data System (MDDS) which can acquire and stream data to external systems, as well as record the data continuously to disk. It also comes with a Service Manager application which can be sued to monitor and manage the service. [More Info...]
