Running MediCollector CENTRAL with a large number of connected devices

Are you running MediCollector CENTRAL and connecting a large number of devices (eg 30+)?

If so, you might run into a problem where MediCollector CENTRAL refuses to launch devices after you get to about 30 running devices.  This is due to a memory restriction in Windows.  To get around this issue, please follow these instructions:

  1. Start the registry editor:   Start-> Run -> regedt32
  2. Find the value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems\Windows
  3. Modify the third value of the SharedSection to 4096 or higher, e.g. SharedSection=1024,20480,4096
  4. Reboot the computer.
