This will make it much easier for developers who want to capture data continuously.

If so, you might run into a problem where MediCollector CENTRAL refuses to launch devices after you get to about 30 running devices.  This is due to a memory restriction in Windows.  To get around this issue, please follow these instructions:

  1. Start the registry editor:   Start-> Run -> regedt32
  2. Find the value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems\Windows
  3. Modify the third value of the SharedSection to 4096 or higher, e.g. SharedSection=1024,20480,4096
  4. Reboot the computer.

Our latest product is available for download!  MediCollector CENTRAL can capture, record and stream data from multiple patient monitors on your network.  

​As shown here, each patient monitor is connected to your network using an Ethernet adapter which allows MediCollector to remotely capture data across your network.  Data can be stored to disk for analysis or streamed out to external systems using HL7 2.3 or HL7 FHIR.

Some users record so much data with MediCollector that they end up with lots of datafiles (.medi files).  If you have lots of datafiles, and want to export to TXT/CSV/EDF, it can be a repetitive and manual process.  So we recently released a BULK EXPORT utility that automates the process to make it much easier.  Now you can select multiple files for export, as shown here.  You can download this utility here.  

​Anyone can install this utility for free and export data, but keep in mind that datafiles recorded using the EVALUATION version of MediCollector will be restricted to only 10 seconds of exported data.

We would like to announce that all of our software applications will now be licensed using yearly subscriptions.  And the cost of these subscriptions is lower than the perpetual licenses we sold last year. 

Upon purchase, we will email you an Activation ID and Password which can instantly unlock the software.  Your subscription will remain active for 1 year and can be easily renewed. 

We are certain this switch will be a positive change for both our customers and our company.  It means the entry price is lower, and it also means we don't need to ship you a license dongle.   

Here are some of the details:   

  • As of Jan 1, 2024 (v1.2) all our software products are licensed by subscription.
  • Subscriptions are valid for 1 year and include technical support.
  • Upon purchase, a License ID and Password will be emailed for instant activation over the Internet.
  • Licenses can also be activated manually (without putting computer on the Internet).
  • Computer does NOT need to be online.  Can function in "air gapped" environments.
  • No more dongles!  In previous years, we would ship licenses on a USB dongle.  This is no longer necessary.  
  • Customers can renew their licenses online.
  • Subscriptions can be managed through our License Portal.   
  • Existing licenses will NOT be affected. If you purchased a perpetual license from us, it will remain valid.
  • Existing dongles will NOT be affected. If you have a dongle, you will continue using it.
