Medical Device Data System (MDDS)

MediCollector products operate as Medical Device Data Systems (MDDS).  This means that our software acquires and transports data from medical devices, but never alters or modifies the data, nor does MediCollector interfere with the operation of the connected medical device.  This reduces risk, and according to the FDA's own guidance documents, MediCollector products are therefore not subject to FDA laws and regulations applicable to medical devices.

MediCollector's MDDS products solve your interoperability challenges by communicating directly with bedside medical devices and standardizes the output into HL7 messages that can be sent directly to HIS systems such as and EMR, EHR, Integration Engines, etc.  

Middleware

MediCollector is a middleware that understands complex vendor-specific and proprietary medical device protocols.  Using our software, data from medical devices can be acquired and recorded, or streamed out to external systems using simple and standardized HL7 messages or other protocols.
